Question 1

What wattage LED panel light do I need for a 2x2 ft false ceiling grid in an office?

Accepted Answer

Standard 2x2 ft (600x600 mm) grid ceilings in Indian offices usually use 36W to 45W LED panels, which give roughly 3,200 to 4,500 lumens each. Check the lumen output rather than the wattage alone, because efficiency varies between brands. On LedDisplay you can compare 2x2 panels by lumens per watt to find the most efficient option for your budget.

Question 2

How many LED ceiling lights are needed per square foot in an office?

Accepted Answer

General office work areas in India are typically lit to about 300 to 500 lux at desk level. As a rough guide, one 36W 2x2 panel (about 3,600 lumens) covers around 50 to 60 sq ft at 500 lux under a standard 9 to 10 ft ceiling. Room colour, ceiling height and fixture spacing all affect the result, so check each panel's lumen rating on LedDisplay before calculating your quantity.

Question 3

Which colour temperature is best for office ceiling lights: cool white or neutral white?

Accepted Answer

Neutral white (4000K) is widely recommended for workstations because it keeps people alert without the harsh, bluish look of 6500K cool daylight. Many Indian offices still choose 6500K for its bright appearance, and 3000K warm white suits cabins, lounges and reception areas. LedDisplay lists the colour temperature for each product so you can filter for the right one.

Question 4

Why does glare (UGR) matter when choosing office LED panels for computer work?

Accepted Answer

UGR (Unified Glare Rating) measures how much discomfort glare a light fixture causes. For offices with computer screens, a UGR below 19 is the commonly recommended standard. Low-glare panels use prismatic or micro-prismatic diffusers, so look for the UGR value in the specifications when comparing models on LedDisplay.
